The Focus Magazine Award for the Festival’s Greatest Personality will be granted again at this year’s Millennium Docs Against Gravity Festival.
The prize will be awarded to the British astronomer and astrophysicist Donald Lynden-Bell, former president of the Royal Astronomical Society and member of a group of astronomers known as the “Seven Samurai”, which postulated the existence of a huge galactic cluster influencing the motion of our galaxy. The asteroid 18235 was named in his honor.
The official Focus Magazine Award gala will take place on May 15th in the Kinoteka cinema following a screening of Star Men. Join us for a talk with Professor Donald Lynden-Bell and Star Men director Alison Rose after the screening and award ceremony.
